Vienna is calling all bibliophiles

untitled

On April 18th, the new Literature Museum of the Austrian National Library will officially open in Vienna. The institution will document the nation’s literature with rare manuscripts, books, letters, photographs, illustrations and related objects. Situated in the heart of the city’s historic district at Johannessgasse 6, the museum will be located in a grand 19th century building that once housed the archives of the Austro-Hungarian Empire Exchequer. I’m told that the focus will be on literary life and authors from the 18th century to the present.
