Can’t Ask for A Better Hotel

We all know by now that a significant percentage of online travel reviews are bogus, but a group of pranksters in the UK have raised some serious doubts about TripAdvisor‘s screening process.

Last week an unidentified group of jokesters posted glowing reviews for the “Belgrove Hotel” in Glasgow, Scotland resulting in the property’s ranking in the city’s top ten on TripAdvisor. Turns out that the Belgrove is actually a men’s homeless shelter. When they became aware of the spoof, TA promptly removed the property.
