The British Library has released over one million images into the Public Domain by placing them for all to use for free on the Flickr Commons. The images are taken from digitized books from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, and include maps, photographs, drawings, illustrations, charts, diagrams and much more. Do you love and appreciate your librarians? Well, the American Library Association has shown ten librarians some love with $5000 awards for winning the I Love My Librarian contest. The winners were nominated by library patrons from around the U.S..
