Cultivating Readers

With an entirely new crop of babies arriving in our family this year, I have been focused again on the importance of starting early reading to children. Research has clearly shown that reading to and with children from birth and throughout childhood can contribute to intellectual development, language acquisition, and reading skills. This excellent infographic created by the Cleveland Clinic explains some of the ways that reading can be beneficial.
