   How interesting that Japonic, Koreanic and Uralic just have… themselves. I couldn’t find that famously impenetrable language Basque on the chart, but I guess I haven’t looked hard enough – yet.

     Basque is geographically surrounded by Romance languages but is a language isolate unrelated to them, and indeed, to any other language in the world. It is the last remaining descendant of one of the pre-Indo-European languages of Prehistoric Europe. Its also called Euskara.
