The Economist offers up its annual assessment of the world’s most livable cities and the absolute hellholes to avoid. I’m not surprised to see Copenhagen at the top of the list once again, but I have reservations about Vienna being number 2, or even being in the top ten again. After visiting Vienna a number of times during the last five decades, I think that it’s seen better days. But that’s just me. I would bump it and add Auckland or Wellington. What do you think about this year’s list ?
I’m pleased to see that my newest fav metropolis —Tokyo—at number 10 on the list. It’s a surprisingly livable and welcoming place for a megalopolis of 35 million.
